Presented by CurvingRoad Productions.

CHARLIE: How many times?
AMY: Well. Two.
CHARLIE: Fuck.
AMY: So not that many really, just-
CHARLIE: No but two. That’s got to be- I mean, god is that usual for a hotel?
AMY: I don’t think there’s official figures-

A chambermaid enters a hotel room. A man is lying in the bed with the sheet pulled up over his head. This is not the first time, nor will it be the last, that Amy makes a gruesome discovery at work.

An Extract from Breathing Corpses - An Original Stage Play by Laura Wade
BREATHING CORPSES was first performed at Royal Court Jerwood Theatre Upstairs, London on 24th February 2005

Laura Wade’s (POSH, COLDER THAN HERE) powerful play premiered at the Royal Court in 2005 and won her the Critics’ Circle Award for Most Promising Playwright, the Pearson Playwrights Best Play Award, the George Devine Award and an Olivier Award Nomination.

Presented here for the first time as a fully immersive site specific event, this production takes a new angle on the play and explores the idea of parallel realities and how easily our lives can be altered by the tiniest of actions.

Directed by Sam Potter and designed by Kerry Bradley.

Time Out made Theatre Souk a critic's choice and on Wednesday 29th October 2010, they wrote: “...there are gems to uncover. Curving Road's superb, eerie staging of a scene from Laura Wade's 2005 hotel thriller, 'Breathing Corpses', is a flawless meeting of space and subject matter.”
